What is MyStar Digital Ads?
MyStar Digital Ads is an up-to-date digitised archive of selected print advertisements published daily in The Star and Sunday Star newspapers.

Do I have to purchase anything to view the ads?
No. It is a free service. You’ll be able to browse through print ads published within the last 30 days.

How do I browse the ads?
By default, you will be able to view all print ads sorted by date (the most recent ads being shown first). Ten ads will be displayed per page. To view the next or previous page, simply click on the Next or Previous link at the bottom of the page. You may also click on a page number to go directly to that page.

How do I browse ads for a selected date or date range?
To browse ads that appeared in print on either a specific date or in a specified range of dates, click on the Ad Archives tab on the navigation menu. Select the start and end dates in the search boxes, and click on the Get Selected Range button.
You can also click on the date range shortcuts (Last 1 Week, Last 1 Month, Last 1 Year) to automatically pick the required start and end dates.

How do I view an ad in its original size?
In the Ad Details page for a selected ad, click on the View Large Ad link above the ad. A pop-up will appear displaying the ad in full size. (It might take a minute for a full size ad to appear, depending on the ad size and/or your network connection.)
To close the full-sized ad and return to the Ad Details page, click on the X on the bottom right corner of the pop-up.

Is there a way for me to customise how the ads are displayed?
Yes, but in order to view ads based on your preferences, you will first need a valid MyStar account, and you’ll need to be logged in. You can register a MyStar account for free at http://mystar.com.my

I have a MyStar account. How do I view the ads based on my preferences?
Simply click on the Settings tab on the navigation menu and check the categories in which you are interested. You can also enter keywords to fine-tune your preferences. Click on Save Preferences to save your settings.
To view your preferred ads based on your settings, click on the View My Ads button in the Settings page or the My Preferred Ads tab on the navigation menu.

I can't remember my MyStar password. What do I do now?
Click on the Forgot Your Password? link below the Sign In button on the homepage (or click here: http://mystar.com.my/pwreminder/). You'll be taken to the MyStar Password Reminder page. Enter your MyStar username or e-mail address and your MyStar password will be emailed to you.

There is an ad that I really like. How do I save it so I can return to it later?
Again, you will need to be logged in to your MyStar account to enjoy the Bookmark feature. In the Ad Details page for a selected ad, click on the Bookmark link above the ad. The ad will be added to your bookmarks.
To view those ads you have bookmarked, click on the My Bookmarked Ads link on the navigation menu. All the ads you have bookmarked will be displayed sorted from the newest to the oldest.
To remove an ad from your bookmarks, go to My Bookmarked Ads and click on the Remove from Bookmarks button next to the ad you wish to remove.

How do I let my friends know about an ad that I think they should look at?
In the Ad Details page for a selected ad, click on the e-mail to Friend link above the ad. A Share This Ad pop-up box will appear. Enter your friend's name and e-mail address in the boxes provided, and click on the Send e-mail button. An e-mail will be sent to your friend with a link to the selected ad.
